EXPORT OF BUTTER.

SUPPLIES FROM ARGENTINE. A REPORT CORRECTED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Dairy Division of the Department of Agriculture has received advice that shipments of butter from the Argentine during November amounted to 2750 tons, making a total of 5775 tons for the August-Novem-ber period, inclusive. It is suggested the published report that 600,000 boxes, or 15,000 tons, of Argentine butter were on the water en route to the United Kingdom, is incorrect. Figures received from Victoria indicate that for the five months ending November 30 the exports of butter amounted to 10,716 tons, as compared with 8922 tons for the corresponding period of the preceding season, giving an increase of 20 per cent.
