GALES IN ENGLAND.
SMALL STEAMER FOUNDERS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Dec. 21, 7.20 p.m. London, Dec. 20. Fierce gales and snowstorms swept the South of England and the Midlands. A small steamer foundered in the Channel, and two persons were drowned. The rest of the crew were adrift in a boat for 12 hours, and were rescued in an exhausted condition.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
