BOWLING.

THE QUEENSLAND VISITORS. VICTORY AT WELLINGTON. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Honors on the first day’s play rest with the Queensland bowlers, who beat a Wellington team by 113 to 95. In the afternoon they met selected teams from clubs in the Wellington Centre, and after keenly contested gannes, in which the issue was in doubt until the last four bowls were sent down, the Queenslanders gained the victory by two points, the score being 96—94. The president of the Wellington Centre (Mr. F. Meadowcroft) congratulated them on their win, after being pitted against Wellington’s best, to which the Queensland president replied that they would take their victory modestly, although before they left they were told they would not win a game in New Zealand.
