WEATHER FORECAST.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The following official weather forecast was issued at 4 p.m. to-day: "Present. Indications are for south-east winds, strong to gale northward of Farewell Spit and Kalkoura, N.NE. <to S.E. winds elsewhere. The weather will be cloudy and unsettled, with rain probable generally, and heavy rain on the East Coast of the North Island. The barometer is unsteady, but will be rising soon In the South.”
