WARNING. The provisional directors of the Mercantile and General Insurance Company. Ltd., are advised that certain people have issued an anonymous circular dealing with the alleged flotation expenses of the company. The circular has evidently been issued with: the intention of injuring >he project, and it is stated that the brokerage’ will amount to .£lO,OOO. This statement is untrue. A reference to the prospectus shows that many shares will be sold free of brokerage.' The directors estimate that 50,000 shares will be sold in this way. and that the total brokerage on the first issue oE 200,000 shares will be. about £3500. 'Not more than 21- per cent, brokerage has been paid, and in some cases only 1 i per cent. .
