“DOCKERS’ ” LANGUAGE. (To the Editor.) Sir, —As one of the crowd on Thursday night who listened to the address of the member for Taranaki, I must say it was disgraceful considering the many ladies presmit at the time, who came to hear the result of the licensing poll. I have often heard Mr. Holland speak, and goodness knows he is bad enough, but for gross abuse and vulgarity one could only call it “dockers language. Does he make use of the same when addressing the school children or speaking In the House? I may say that I was not alone In inr disapproval, for very many ladies present who had voted for him said the same.—l am. etc., MARY COLLINS. New Plymouth, December 14.
