OPUNAKE.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) Joe Halpin, second son of Mr. Halpin, Opua Road, met with a nasty accident when riding his horse from the Convent schoolgrounds. The horse stumbled and rolled on the boy, injuring his legs. It will be some time before he will be able to resume work. The boy scouts and girl guides’ concert was the best juvenile concert given in Opunake for many a long day. Those responsible for training the children did their work well.
