WEST END GALA.

KAWAROA PARK TO-DAY. During the past few weeks the pupils of the West End school, have been working very hard in preparation for the annual gala, which takes place to-day at Kawaroa Park. The morning will be devoted to the sports for the children, and in the afternoon there will be a programme of spectacular events by the children, as well as several novel competition items. The various stalls will be replete with produce, fancy goods, sweets, soft drinks, etc., whilst the side-shows should prove irresistable. They will be controlled by members of the Kawaroa Park Coanmitt.ee, whilst the ladies of that society have charge of the afternon tea arrangements. The New Plymouth Pipe Band will render a programme of music.. There will be a dance in the bungalow in the evening.
