James Condon and James McArthur were fined 40s for illegally deanng In liquor, and Robert Whitburn £l5 for aiding in the sale of liquor. Jas. Martin was fined £2O for selling beer without a license. The proceedings followed a raid, as the result of the police discovery of a trade in “square riggers” at 3s each, conducted in a stable in Frederick Street.
