The Lord Chancellor and Lords Finlay, Dunedin, Atkinson and Sumner gave judgment against the Common--wealth Government with regard to the loss of the steamer Geelong by collision with the transport engaged in evacuation work at Gallipoli- Their lordships decided that the loss was caused bv war, and not by marine peril.
