BLAZE IN SYDNEY.
EXPLOSION INJURES FIREMEN. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright Received Dec. 14, 10.20 p.m. Sydney, Dec. 14. A fire gutted a large store belonging to the Harbor Trust Commissioners in Erskine Street, crammed mostly with inflammable materials, including a large quantity of turpentine, wax vestas, kauri gum and oils, which burned with extreme fierceness. Gas generated from the turpentine caused a severe explosion, which added to the damage, besides injuring two firemen. The damage is estimated at £40,000.
