CHARGE OF PERJURY. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Dec. 7. Dorothy Turner, the chief witness in the case in which Sir Almeric Fitzroy was charged with accosting women in Hyde Park, has been arrested on a charge of perjury.
SENTENCE FOR ESPIONAGE. Riga, Dec. 8. The supreme revolutionary tribunal in Russia sentenced a French officer to imprisonment for five years for espionage at Batoum. GERMAN INDEMNITIES. Berlin, Dec. 8. Germany rejected the proposal to submit the question of indemnities from Passau and Ingolstadt to arbitration, also Bavaria’s proposal to submit the matter to the League of Nations. Cabinet will offer excuses for the incidents, pointing out the reparations asked are so large that they cannot be paid.
