RHODES SCHOLARS.
NEW ZEALANDERS’ SUCCESS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn .—Copyright. Received Dec. 8, 5.5 p.m. London, Dee. 7. The report of the Rhodes Scholarship trustees for the academic year 1921-22 shows that three hundred are in residence, of whom 156 are from the Em pire. Ninety-eight are taking law sixty-eight medicine and Science, forty modem history, eighteen theology, and the others various subjects. The academic year 1022--23 starts with 262 scholars in residence. Among those who had won distinction were Mr. Jones (New Zealand), demonstrator for Mr. Wvkham professor of physics; Mr. Fonder (New Zealand), lecturer in chemistry at Balliol.
