SUNDAY RECREATION.
AN EPISCOPAL PRONOUNCE. MENT. Capetown, Dec. 8. The Bishops of the Anglican Church in the province of South Africa have issued a pronouncement on the subject of Sunday observance, in which they insist on the primary importance of public worship, but see no harm in recreations which conflict neither with public worship, nor the rest and refreshment which the community and individuals alike require. They deprecate, however, the extent to which organised public sports, picnics and excursions are robbing the people of the atmo*\uiet which should obtain.
