EVERYBODY’S. CLARA KIMBALL YOUNG. “THE SOUL OF RAFAEL.” For many years, Clara Kimball Young has occupied the exalted position as “Queen of the World’s Screen.” Millions know her through pictures and love her for her charm, her beauty, and her brilliant histrionic ability in the portrayal of widely different characters in the silent drama. In the presentation of the great character of Rafael in Marah Ellis Ryan s magnificent love story of golden California, Clara Kimball Young reaches the very zenith of her long and dazzling career. “For the Soul of Rafael” ie undoubtedly her greatest picture. It is a wondrous story, of those glorious days of chivalry when American knighthood was in flower. A story of brave hearts and braver deeds, a story of a great love, charming, delightful, romantic, gripping end withal supremely entertaining. THE PEOPLE’S. LAST NIGHT OF “THE GUTTERSNIPE.” Gladys Walton likes roles with nlenty pf wen. The little Universal flapper star has a role with plentv of the aforementioned quality in “The Guttersnipe.” which screens to-night at the People’s. She is seen as a fighting, flirting firecat of the “Irish Ghetto” of New York, in the role of Mazie, a shop girl, in a story written directly for the star by Percival Wilde and well fitted to the talent for girlish impersonations which Miss Walton undoubtedly possesses. “The Guttersnipe” is a human slice of life, very true to the character of the little Irish shopgirl with her ideas of love, happiness, fine dresses and society. Miss Walton has many picture successes but “The Guttersnipe” is undoubtedly her finest to date. The supporting films include Comedy and Topi-
