BRITISH PARLIAMENT.
BIG LOAN TO AUSTRIA. FINANCIAL MEASURES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. London, Dec. 5. The House of -Commons sat all night discussing the financial resolutions, firstly, on the Bill .to be introduced extending the Trades Facilities Act for a year; secondly, authorising the Treasury to guarantee a 35 million loan to Austria, of which the British share was six millions. Mr. Pringle unsuccessfully attempted to secure a provision that no loan should be granted under the Trades Facilities Act to any industry abroad which competed with a similar industry in Britain. Several Liberal and Labor members opposed the loan to Austria, Mr. Ramsay MacDonald unsuccessfully moving the adjournment. The resolutions were eventually carried.
