An interesting programme of events has been arranged by the Mardi Gra < organiser to take place on Victoria Park to-morrow (Thursday). Keen disappointment was caused on Mardi Gras day (November 30 j when a number of competitive events had to be postponed owing to the rain, and these will be carried out to-morrow. There will probably be a large number of people in the town on account of the elections, and the day in the park should prove an interesting respite from otherwise weary waiting for the results of the poll.
