IN BANKRUPTCY.
A CARPENTER'S FAILURE. A petition in bankruptcy has been filed by Andrew William Harold Yardley, carpenter, of New Plymouth, whose statement shows debts owing to unsecured creditors £174 4s 7d, while the only asset set down is book debts estimated to produce £4O 5s 6d. The deficiency is thus £133 19s Id. Following is the list of unsecured creditors:—Arnold and Co., ironmongers, New Plymouth, £5O 6s Sd; Wanganui Sash and Door Co., £75 2s 4d: O. 1c Page, painter, New Plymouth, £lO 15s 7d; A. Read, carrier, New Plymouth, £3O; Carpenters’ and Joiners’ Union, New Plymouth, £4; W. Russell, con-’ tractor, 'New Plymouth, £1 ss; Kyngdon and Co., contractors, New Plymouth, £2; B. Martin, carrier, New Plymouth, 15s; total £174 4s 7d. AN OHURA WAGONER.
Thomas Laman, wagoner, of Ohura, has been adjudicated a bankrupt. His debts to unsecured creditors amount to £ll2 6s Sd, while* on the assets side are shown: Bullock wagon £35, book debts £2O. statement shows the deficiency as £3O ss, though on the assets and liabilities disclosed, it would appear to be greater. A note on the statement reads: “The 'book debts should .all eventually be good, but in the present financial crisis I have been unable to collect any of them.” Details of the amounts owing to unsecured creditors are:—Barraud and Abraham, merchants, Te Kniti, £9; Farmers Distributing Co., Ltd., Fielding, £29; Farmers’ Union Trading Co., Ltd., Auckland, £5; Robert ®bbett,/ Taumarunui, £7 15s; W.
