RIVERLEA. (From Our Own Correspondent.) The weather lately has been ideal for the dairyfarmer, with the result, that the factory hands are kept busy. They are making fiftysix cheese a day now, which Is slightly more than they turned out In the flush last year. Mr. O. Hawken, M.P., delivered his address to a record crowd in the hall on Saturday night. At the conclusion he was accorded a hearty vote of thanks and confidence. Mr. and Mrs. C. Lorkin and family had the misfortune to be thrown out of their trap on Sunday afternoon. It appears that while driving down the Mangawhero Road the horse shied and overturned the trap, but fortunately they all escaped with a few scratches. A very pretty wedding took place In the Presbyterian Church, Kaponga, on Wednesday afternoon, the contracting parties being Mr. Walter Cassidy, youngest son of Mrs. Cassidy, Fitzroy, and Miss Kate Campbell, eldest daughter of Mrs. Campbell, Mangawhero Road, Riverlea. The wedding ceremony was performed by the Rev. Smith, of Manaia. The bride was attended by Miss Mildred Johns as bridesmaid, and Mr. Sturgeon ’acted as best man. After the wedding breakfast had been partaken of at the residence of the bride’s mother, the happy couple left by car for New Plymouth, where the honeymoon will be spent.
