IN BANKRUPTCY.

ESTATE OF J. B. HARROP, OEO. The first meeting in this estate was held at Hawera on Saturday. In a written statement, bankrupt said that he had been sharemilking for Harrop and Sons on the Oeo Road, milking 34 cows. He went in for a milking plant costing £2Ol, but could not meet payments, and borrowed from the Kaupokonui Dairy Co., they retaining the milk cheques and allowing £8 per month for stores. He had a wife and six children and had been going back all the time. He had been summoned by W. Thorpe, Dr. Boyd and the Gene Milking was therefore compelled to file Tn bankruptcy.

The creditors were as follow:—Secured: A. G. Bennett, Manaia, £B5. Unsecured: Kaupokonui Dairy Co., £140: W. Candy, Oeo, £23; J. Forsyth, Pihama, £2O; H. J. Eaves, Otakeho, £2O; W. Lambie, Pihama, £l5; T. Gardiner, Manaia, £l2 ss; T. Kennedy, Otakeho, £l3 Ils fid; W. Thorpe. Riverlea, £7; Dr. Boyd, Kaponga, £7; W. A. Parkinson and Co.. Ltd., £5; T. Armitage, Manaia. £l3: Gane Milking Machine Co., £3S. The estimated deficiency was about £250. Bankrupt stated ,in regard to the milking machine, that he had since got fresh parts and this was the debt due to the Gane Company. It was resolved to write for some particulars in regard to the machine. It was decided to offer no opposition to the granting of bankrupt's discharge.
