The Dunn shield athletic ehaunplonship competitions opened yesterday. Carr won his heat and the final of the 100 yards sprint, both In 10sec., equalling the New South Wales record. He also won the quarter-mile in 50 3-ssec. a new Dunn Shield record. The other events were well contested, but no records were broken.
