CONDITIONS DURING NOVEMBER. The weather in November was very rough. During the first half there were high winds with daily rain and thunder and hail storms. From the 17th to the 26th came a spell of fine, hot, sunny weather, but the last four days were sunless and wet, with the unusual fall on the 28-29th of 2.41 in. of rain, most of which fell early on the morning of the 29th. Details of the conditions are as follow i Rain fell on 20 days, the maximum fall being 2.41 in. on the 28th, the total for the month being 8.48 in. In November, 1921, there were 17 wet days, and the total fall was 3.74 in. The total rainfall for the year so far has been 52.59 in., of which 15.84 in. have fallen during the last, two months. The November rainfall was the greatest for many months past, exceeding that of last December by 10 points. The mean maximum temperature for the month was 61.9 deg., and the mean minimum 50.7 deg., the unean for the month being 56.3 deg., as against 56deg. for October. The maximum temperature was 67.8 deg. on the 26th and 27th, and the minimum, 43.1 deg., on the 12th. The mean solar radiation, as shown by thermometer exposed to the sun, was 124 deg., as against 124.2 deg. in October, though on the hottest day it ran up as high as 145. The mean terrestrial radiation, shown by the thermometer on the grass, was 46.5 deg. (2.2 deg. higher than in October), and there were no frosts, the lowest recorded temperature being 34.5 deg. There were 178 hrs. 55miin. of bright sunshine, the lowest since July, and the best record was 13hrs. 25mln. on the 24th. There were four sunless days.
