TARANAKI POWER BOARD.

THE MONTHLY MEETING The monthly meeting of the Taranaki Electric Power Board was held at Eltham yesterday. Present: Messrs 1 . H. G. Garman (chairman). G. Sangeter, C. J. Belcher, C. E. McGuinness, T. R. Anderson, W. H. Were and W. V. Harkness. The greater part- of the business was taken in committee. It was reported that the offer of the New Plymouth Borough Council to supply power was held in abeyance for (the present. No further advance had been made with the Tariki scheme and it had been decided to hold a special meeting in this connection on December 15. Messrs. H. W. Climie and Sons’ offer to supply a complete report, estimate, and plans of the reticulation of the board’s district was accepted. It was decided to obtain from the Stratford Borough Council information regarding the amount of power that would be required from the board provided the price was satisfactory.
