A WORTHY RECORD.
In to-day’.s issue appears, under the heading of “Sunday Reading,” another of those virile and lidlpful sermons which a large number of our readers look forward to week by week. It so happens that this week’s sermon by the Rev. A. H. Collins is the one hundredth that has been published without a break, and the occasion is a. fitting one to express gratification at such a. worthy record. The amount of time and thought involved in these gospel messages must necessarily be very considerable, for they are all marked with the impress of the highest sense of responsibility, yet breathing of nature and art. besides an illustrative faculty of exceptional appropriateness. It is
pleasing to know that the kindly words of appreciation Mr. Collins has received have not only cheered him in his labor of love, but they demonstrate the approval by the reading public of the ■policy of tills paper in its efforts to aid in the uplifting of the people. It is to be hoped that the good work of Mr. Collins may long continue, and that it will bear fruit that can be both seen and felt.
