WEDDING.

BLACK—MILLAR. A quiet wedding was celebrated at St. Andrew’s Church, New Plymouth, yesterday morning, when Mr. Norman Black, younger son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Black, was married to Mias Vida Ellison Millar, elder daughter of Mrs. Millar, New Plymouth, and the late Mr. D. S. Millar, of Christchurch. The Roy. Oscar Blundell was the officiating clergyman. The bride, who was given away by Mr. Hector Dempsey, wore a very pretty cream Jersey silk frock and Leghorn hat, trimmed with ostrich feathers and relieved with lemon- She carried a beautiful bouquet of cloth of gold roses with streamers of yellow tulle the bouquet being made by Miss J. Curtis. Mrs. Millar wore black merveilleux and smart hat of black panne velvet and a bouquet of red carnations. Mrs. Muller, Auckland’, sister of the bride, was in saxe blue crepe-de-chine and black crinoline hat and a bouquet of pink sweet peas. Mrs. Black, mother of the bridegroom, wore black brocade and black hat relieved with silver and a bouquet in shades of violet and heliotrope. Miss Black, sister of the bridegroom. was in cream Fuji and cream crinoline hat and pink bouquet. Mrs. Blanchett, sister of the bridegroom, wore a smart coat and skirt and black hat with wreath of autumn leaves and bouquet in shades of pink. After the ceremony a small reception was held at. the residence of the bride’s mother, when only relations and a few intimate friends were present. Later Mr. and Mrs. Black loft by motor for Wellington, the ibride travelling in a navy coat and skirt and smart rose pink hat.
