NGAMOTU BEACH.
SEASIDE RESORT 00., LTD. The sixth annual meeting of the Ngamotu Seaside Resort Co., Ltd., was held at New Plymouth last night. Mr. W. E. Bendall (chairman of directors) presided, there being also present Messrs. R. J. Deare, F. J. Hill, W. F. Short, W. C. Weston, A. E. Sykes, F. Payne, R. T. McQuade, J. S. S. Medley, W. T. Hookham, H. Brookman, J. C. Morey, and the secretary (Mr. R. t). Ellis). The annual report and balance sheet (as previously published) were adopted. Messrs. -R. J. Deare, H. Brookman (retiring directors, and A. E. Sykes were appointed to the directorate and Mr. E. P. Webster was re-elected auditor. A sub-committee, consisting of the chairman, Messrs. Payne. Deare, and the secretary, was appointed to go into the matter of painting the palladium and cottages and other matters, with power to act. An honorarium was voted to Mr. Ellis in recognition of his past services. The matter of the rental and occupancy of certain of the beach cottages was discussed, and a committee, consisting of the chairman, Messrs. Morey and Medley, was appointed to confer with the Harbor Board on these and other matters. , The executive of the seaside committee is: Messrs. Morey, Lomas, Bendall, Deare, Brookman, Sykes and (Ellis. About sixteen applications were received for the position of caretaker, and R. D. Molls was appointed. It was decided to hold the usual New Year’s Day picnic and a dance and social evening that night in the pavilion.
