A hundred Liberals of both groups attended a meeting nt the House of Commons to discuss the possibility of a reunion. An official statement says the utmost cordiality prevailed, speaTiers emphasising the necessity for reunion if the Liberals are to regain a commanding position. A MEMBER’S RESIGNATION. Received Nov. 28, 5.5 p.m. London, Nov. 27. In the House of Commons, Sir R. a. Sanders (president of the Board of Agriculture) said the Government proposed to appoint a departmental committee to consider means whereby the disparity between the prices paid producers and that paid by the consumer could be diminished as regards agricultural dairy produce. Major Cayzer, who was re-elected for Portsmouth with an eleven thousand majority, hag resigned owing to illhealth. Mr. Leslie Wilson (Unionist ■Whip), who was defeated at the general elections, has been invited to contest the seat. A local Unionist threatens to oppose Mr. Wilson. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
