NO-TOBACCO LEAGUE. The American No-Tobacoo League held its annual convention to-day, and passed a resolution denouncing tobacco and calling upon all State Legislatures to pass laws “safeguarding the inalienable rights of non-smokers,” and prohibiting tb.o advertisement of tobacco through newspapers and periodicals. The resolution declares: “Non-smok-ers have the inherent right; to breathe pure air. uncentaminated by the poisonous fumes of tobacco smoke.” It condemns the movie industry for showing pictures with the leading characters actually appearing to enjoy cigars, cigarettes and pipes.—London Daily Mail, August 18th.
