Poincare relinquishing office. It is believed by some that the skilful manoeuvre by which M. Poincare postponed for a month the discussion of the Government policy may end in the fall of the 'Ministry. On the other hand he may himself resign. He is very tired of the Premiership and always declared he would hold office for a, limited time. Jle cherishes the ambition to be elected leader -of the Bar, which the Premiership precludes. There would be many candidates for his position. M. Loucheur is the most likely selection.
