DISTRICT NEWS.

KAIMATA. (From Our Own Correspondent.) The church concert and dance held in the hall on Wednesday night was in every way a great success, and reflects great credit upon those who arranged the function. The concert party, who were all Inglewood people, gave a real good programme, which was much appreciated by all. Following is a list of the items: Orchestral selection, Wilson's orchestra (much appreciated) ; song, ‘‘Take a Pair of Sparkling Eyes,” Mr. Roberts, encore, “Mother of Mine”; recitation, “Storm,” Miss Julian; song, “Come Into My Garden,” Miss Evans (encored) ; song, “Deariand,” Mrs. Faris, encore, “Mother Machree”; Scotch song, “A Wee Doc and Doris,” Mr. J. Sutherland, encore, “It's Nice When You Love a Wee Lassie”; song, “Who Knows,” Miss Officer, encore. “Ball of the Maytime”; song, “Where •My Caravan has Rested,” Mrs. Faris, encore, "Sunshine of Your Smile”; song, “Wait,” Mr. Roberts (encored) ; violin solo, H. Nicholls (encored) ; song, “Wake from Your Sleep,” Miss Erens, encore, “Summer Again”; recitation, “The King’s Three Daughters,” Mls« Julian (encored) ; song, "Song of the Blossoming Day,” Miss Officer, encore, “Hills of Donegal” (well received and much appreciated). At the conclusion a one-act play, entitled, “Snowed up with a duchess,” was put on and thoroughly enjoyed by all. Afterwards, the hall was cleared and dancing was kept going until 1 a.m. Mrs. Taylor supplied the music and Mr. W. Bracegirdle acted as M.C. Mr. R. Masters gave an Interesting address to quite a large gathering In the hall on Monday night, and the usual vote of thanks and confidence was passed. Mr. Klenner was in the chair. ■
