THE SAVAGE CLUB.

FIRST PUBLIC* KORERO. The New Plymouth Savage Club, which* has just terminated its §econd season, has yielded to the solicitations of numerous friends and curious acquaintances and decided to hold a korero at the Empire Theatre on Monday evening next, which will be open to the public—at least, to those of the public who can get in and are prepared to pay the price of admission. During the two years of its existence the Savage Club has discovered among its members and developed quite a lot of talent, musical, vocal and elocutionary, besides which it has a strong haka team, trained by Air. Atua. The programme on Alonday next will be made up of selected items by the most talented of the Savages, and the audience will be initiated into the mystic tites and practices of Savagery. Hitherto, outside of members, visiting Savages and other distinguished visitors to the town, only lady friends have had the privilege of attending koreros. The time has now come to extend this privilege—on payment of the prescribed fees —to those of the public who care to see behind the veil, to witness the weird hakas, and to hear the Savage songs, musical and elocutionary items, i It will be a welcome change from poli- | tical meetings. The box plan will be | opened at Collier’s this evening at 9 i o’clock, and early application for seats is advised.
