YOUNG MAN’S SUICIDE.
A CASE OF POISONING. By Telegraph.—Preaa Association Dunedin, Last Night. At the inquest on Tasman Henderson, aged 22, who was found in a dying condition in a street on Monday night, disclosed that death was due to poisoning. Deceased stated to a doctor that he purchased the substance in Palmerston North six months ago. In his diary he said he was tired of life and had no money or work; but the evidence showed that deceased stayed at a hotel and had been having a holiday in Palmerston North and Invercargill. Deceased told the police he lived with his widowed mother in Christchurch, but advice has been received that his mother lived in Auckland. The coroner, in returning a verdict ia accordance with the medical evidence, said the statement about starvation was inconsistent with the fact that deceased had been travelling.
