The senior cadets finished their continuous course of training on, Saturday, and yesterday morning the course for territorials in A Company was commenced. lhe territorial muster was disappointing, only 31 attending out of a strength of 65. It had been hoped that at least one fullstrength platoon of 40 would have paraded. Yesterday was taken up with' rifle drill and musketry, and other revisionary operations, whilst on the remaining days more advanced movements will be undertaken, such as platoon in attack, open warfare, trench warfare, and musketry. If weather permits, the field operations will take place at Rewa Rewa rifle range, whilst if wet the men will parade in the Coronation Hall. Headquarters Company will go into training from November 27 to December 2. Their work will be on similar lines. Later there is likely to be other voluntary courses for those who are not able to attend those at present being held. The attention of our readers is drawn to the advertisement of Messrs. Whites, Limited, in this morning’s paper. The new season’s merchandise is now in and attractively displayed, being imported direct from the manufacturers. Quality, value and low prices are featured.
