PERSONAL.
Mr. Percival Witherby, hon. organiser, Dominion Boy Scouts, arrived in New Plymouth yesterday. Mr. R. P. Ward, inspector for the Department of Justice, is visiting New Plymouth. To-day he visits Waitara, and afterwards Inglewood and Stratford. Miss Florence May Urquhart has been appointed to temporary employment in an “A” position on the staff of the New Plymouth Girls’ High School. Miss Urquhart holds a B.A. degree of the University of Toronto, and is at present a specialist teacher of mathematics in the Duke of Connaught High School, New Westminster, British Columbia. She is, however, fully qualified to teach in all secondary subjects, and is really desirous of an exchange with a New Zealand teacher. Miss L. Morton, of the Dunedin Girls’ High School, is proceeding to New Westminster to take Miss Urquhart's place.
