SOUTH TARANAKI MATCHES. At Hawera on Saturday two matches were played between teams representing the town and country. Country A made 107 (Maunsell not out 50, H. Hughes 24) against Town A 149 (Jarvis 25, Pratt 14, Harding and Cunningham 11 each). For Country Balrstow took five wicikets for 39, and Penny four for 36; and for Town, Cole three for 4 and Smith two for 15 were the most successful bowlers. Town B knocked up 109 (R.
