COUNTY COUNCIL NOTICES. COUNTY OF EGMONT. SPECIAL LOAN OF £12,500 TO REPAY THE ANTECEDENT LIABILITY. SPECIAL ORDER AUTHORISING DOAN. the following resolution was duty passed at a property convened Special Meeting of the Council of the County of Egmont, held on TUESDAY, the 14th day of November, 1922: WHEREAS the liability” (as defined by ‘‘The Local Bodies Finance Act, 1921’*) of the Egmont Count}’ Council is the sum of Twelve thousand five hundred pounds ( £12,500),

and it is desired to repay the same; NOW, THEREFORE, tVEgmont County Council, in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913,” and “The ].oeal Bodies Finance A t, 1921,” hereby resolves by way ■of Special Order as follows: 1. THAT the Egmont County Council do raise a special loan of Twelve thousand five hundred pounds ( £12,500) for the purpose of repaying the said antecedent liability of Twelve .thousand five hundred pounds ( £l*2,500). 2. THAT the currency of the said loan shall be. for a period of Fifteen (15) years. 3. THAT the interest on the said loan shall be at the rate of Six. pounds ten shillings (£6 per centum per annum and shall be payable half-yearly. 4. THAT the form of security for the payment of principal and interest, on the ■said loan shall be Fifteen (15) Debentures. Five (5) for the sum of Eight hundred and fifty pounds ( £850), and Ten (10) for the sum of Eight hundred and twenty-five pounds ( £825), and relative coupons in a form in conformity with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913/’ 5. THAT for the purpose of providing interest, principal and other charges on the said loan of Twelve thousand five hundred pounds ( £12,500) the said Council proposes to make and levy and to appropriate and pledge as security a special rate of 11/43rds of one penny in the £ upon the capital value of all rateable property in the County of Egmont, and that such fepecial rate shall be an annually reznrring rate during the currency of the loan, being a period of Fifteen (15) years or such shorter period as may be determined by the Council or until the loan is fully paid off. 6. THAT the principal and interest shall be payable at the Bank of New Zealand, Opunake. 7. THAT such loan be called “The Egmont County Council Antecedent Liability Repayment Loan of £12,500.” NOTICE is hereby given that the above resolution will be submitted for confirmation at the ordinary monthly meeting of the Council, to be held at the County Opunake, on TUESDAY, the 12th day of December, 1922, at ]0.15 a.m. Dated at Opunake this 16th day of November, 1922.
