Discussing church* union at the Presbyterian Assembly ,Dr. Gibb said it was perfectly clear that no advance was possible at present with the Congregationalists. He supposed the same might be said with regard to the Methodist's, but on a statement being made that there might be an aproaeh to Presbyterians by a section, if not the whole of the Congregational Church, he agreed with a proposal to retain the committee. This was agreed to foy a noverwhelming i majority.
