TN Pursuance of the Legislature Act, 1908, and its amendments, I, JAMES MILNE ADAM, Returning Officer for the Electoral District ot Taranaki, do hereby give notice that, by virtue of a writ bearing date the 16th day of November, 1922, under the hand of the Clerk of the Writs, an election will be held for the return of a qualified person to serve as member for the said district, and that the latest hour for receiving nominations of candidates will be noon on the 27th day of November, 1922, and that the poll, if necessary, will be taken at the several polling-places of the said district on the 7th Day of DECEMBER, 1922. f Every person desirous of becoming a candidate must ibe nominated by not less than two electors of the district, by a nomination-paper as prescribed by section IQ/5 of the said Act., delivered to the Returning Officer on or before NOON on the 27th day of NOVEMBER, 1922. TN pursuance of the Licensing' Act, A 1908, and the amendments thereto, I, JAMES MIDNE ADAM, Returning Officer for the Taranaki Licensing District, do hereby give notice that on the 7th Day of DECEMBER, 1922. the day appointed for taking the Electoral Poll for the Electoral Dis .-ict of Taranaki, simultaneously therewith a LICENSING POLL will be taken upon the following proposals: NATIONAL 'CONTINUANCE. / STATE PURCHASE AND CONTROL. NATIONAL PROHIBITION. Nominations of persons to appoint scrutineers in accordance with the Licensing Act, 1908, and the amendments thereto, in respect of each of the said proposals most be lodged with me not later than five o’clock in the afternoon of the 30th day of November, 1922. And I hereby give notice that I shall on the 2nd day of December, 1922, at the hour of ten o’clock in the forenoon, at my office in Courthouse, New Plymouth, publicly consider all nomination-papers of persons to appoint scrutineers which have been duly lodged in respect of the said Licensing Poll.
