CORRESPONDENCE.
A COASTAL FUND. (To the Editor.) Sir, —Re letter of the Sth Inst., in which he thinks I possess inside knowledge of the pony-gig fund which would be of interest to numerous coastal residents, I am sorry they should feel left out in the cold, but the pony and gig were bought for the vicar’s wife from funds raised by the G.F.S. girls in the outlying districts, not Okato. The humble bobs and half-dollars were not gifts. Everyone received his money’s worth. If “Interested” requires any further information, apart from that Mr. Fox has offered, he had better write to the G.F.S. secretary (Miss Payne, Warea). —I am, etc., PUNIHO CORRESPONDENT.
