BOSCO’S LIVE SNAKES.

The chief attraction at the Hawera showgrounds on show days will be a new and novel side-show in the way of a snake charmer, who has brought a collection of live snakes with him by permission of the New Zealand Government. The snakes range from 6 to 20 feet in length, and are the only snakes that have been exhibited in the Dominion for many years. Bosco, t.ne snake charmer, who is in charge of the snakes, has had many narrow escapes from death, and if it were not for the quick use of an antidote he discovered whilst watching a fight between a snake and a egunihe he would not be alive to-day. Bosco shows the real method of snake charming. He puts the deadly reptiles to sleep with his musical instruments. and upon Waking they dart at him in a ferocious manner. The snakes can be viewed in perfect safety, as a special tent is being erected on the showgrounds. The public will have the chance of seeing the real live snakes as they appear in their wild and native state. ' For educational reasons, visitors to the show should not miss seeing the snake show.
