COST-OF-LIVING BONUS. By Telegraph.—Press Assoc.’atlon. Auckland, Nov. 9. The Auckland Trades Council has appointed Mr. T. Bloodworth to represent it at the Arbitration Court, Wellington, in regard to the cost-of-living bonus. PRINTERS’ AWARD. Auckland, Last Night. The Arbitration Court award affecting the Dominion was filed this afternoon, regarding wages in the printing trades, typographical, bookbinding, and machinists. The wages bear an all-round reduction of three shillings per week. Other conditions are practically the same -as before. ISSUING VALUELESS CHEQUES. Wellington, Nov. 9. Kenneth Raymond Thomas pleaded guilty in the Magistrate’s Court to two charges of fraud by issuing valueless cheques. It was stated that he was a soft goods salesman, who issued cheques indiscriminately. He was sentenced previously on charges of theft and fraud at Auckland to six months’ imprisonment and 12 months’ reformative treatment. Mr. Page, S.M., sentenced him to three months’ imprisonment on each charge, to be concurrent with the Auckland sentences.
