LOAN PROPOSALS REJECTED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dargaville, Last Night. Considerable interest was taken in loan polls to-day—£l4oo for improving the waterworks, £3lOO for alterations to gas and water mains,, and £lBOO for improving rhe gasworks. The business men’s association held a meeting of ratepayers last night, asking them to have the loans rejected as a no confidence vote on the administration. It was a record noil, and all the proposals were rejected by big majorities.
