“We Take You!” —Pinning the “Prohibs”! The New Zealand Alliance has published widely an Advertisement which states that the Whisky sold to you in hotels costs only 5/3 per bottle. The National Council of tfcup Licensed Trade challenges this utterly ridiculous statement. To back up our challenge We hereby offer to buy ONE THOUSAND CASES of any Leading Brand of Whisky at DOUBLE the PRICE which the Prohibition Agents have named. Now, let these people deliver the goods. If Whisky costs only 5/3 a bottle, they have only to buy a thousand cases of it at that price, and sell to us at 10/6—a profit of One Hundred per cent.! Here’s a way to make over £3,000 towards Pussyfoot’s expenses! Another Poser for Prohibs! We still await information as to when the American people had a referendum on National Prohibition. Do not be misled by preposterous Prohibition Misstatements —Vote Continuance The National Council ot the Licensed Trade of New Zealand. 53
