“What is Theosophy?” was the subject dealt with by Miss Seline Oppenheimer in her lecture at the Theosophical Society’s rooms on Sunday evening. In her opening remarks the lecturer said that-quite a number of misconceptions existed regarding Theosophy. Some imagined it to foe a new religion, or some strange and weird cult, while others thought it to be anti-Christian or a heathen form ot worship. All these were misconceptions. Theosophy was not new. Un the contrary it was very ancient, and every great religion of the past had Theosophy, for it is the embodiment oi the great truth of which all religions were a part.
