The slump in the mark is due to heavy selling following the announcement in the Budget of a deficiency. LONDON PRODUCE PRICES. Received Nov. 3, 8.10 pain. London, Nov. 2. Flour Is quiet; Australian ex store 40s. Oats and barley are firm. Peas and beans are steady. Sugar is unchanged. BETTER PRICES FOR HIDES. Received Nov. 3, 8.10 p.m. Melbourne, Nov. 3. At the hides sales competition was very spirited, and values improved as follows: With substance Id, heavies %d, lights par to 14 d. BRADFORD WOOL MARKET. Received Nov. 3, 8.10 p.m. London, Nov. 2. On the Bradford wool market there is small business, buyers being cautious. Sixty-fours worth from Gid to 63d: others nominally unchanged. WHEAT CARGOES. Received Nov. 3, 8.10 p.m. London, Nov. 2. Wheat cargoes are firm in sympathy with strong American advices, but buyers are slow in responding to an advance of threepence a quarter. Parcels are in poor request, and closed threepence down. Spot trade is quiet, with an easier tendency. METAL MARKETS. Received Nov. 3, 9.55 p.m. London, Nov. 2. I Copper.—Spot £62 16s 3d, forward £63 lla 3d. Lead.—£2s 12s 6d and £24 7s 6d. Spelter—£37 2s 6d and £35 7s 6d. Tin.—£l79 3s (Id. Silver.—34d per ounce. LONDON MARKETS.
