AN ANNUAL CONFERENCE. BODY TO WATCH INTERESTS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Palmerston N.. Last Night. A conference of delegates of A. and P. associations, representing Palmerston North, Wanganui, Auckland, Stratford, Hamilton. New Plymouth. Egmont, Masterton, Woodville. Feilding, Marton and Dannevirke met to-day to consider proposal.? submitted by a special committee appointed by a conference in June, and it was decided to establish a permanent conference of affiliated A. and P. societies in the North Island to further agricultural and pastoral interests. The conference will meet at least once yearly, and two delegates will be nominated by each affiliated body. The chief ’ matters for consideration when the conference is constituted are the I selection and payment of judges, rail- ! way freights and facilities, disqualificaI tions, gate charges and control of side ! shows, show dates, and the arranging of uniform standards relating to the measurement of horses, and the awarding of points and colors for prizes. The nine who were elected a committee to make arrangements to form a constitutional body were: Messrs. Perry (Masterton). W. B. Grant (Taranaki), H. B. Stuckie (Dannevirke), C. G. Derjmer (Feilding), H. Middleton (Egmont), IM. A. Conway (Manawatu), R. Farley j (Wanganui), A. E. Harding and E. D. McLennan
