SATISFACTORY ENTRIES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Palmerston North, Nov. 1. The Manawatu A. and P. Association spring show was opened to-day in fine but windy weather. The entries all round were satisfactory, some of the classes showing good increases. The stock exhibits will be judged to-morrow. Palmerston N. f Last Night. Championships were awarded as follows: — Pigs Berkshire^: Boar, Porirua Mental Hospital 1, J. A. Russell (Palmerston North) reserve. Sow: J. A. Russen. Tam worths: Boar and sow. Bowen and Wilson (Hastings). Yorkshires: Boar and sow, Porirua Hospital.
