The State Department has announced the delivery of a Note to the Chinese Government serving notice of the United States’ determination to end its activity in the inter-Allied control of the Chinese Eastern Railway, which decision has also been reached by Britain, France, Italy, and Japan. This action ie the result of the withdrawal of Japanese troops from Siberia, based on the agreement between the United States and Japan of February, 1919, which was subsequently concurred in by Britain, France, Italy, and China.
