A feature of the schedule of the 39th Annual Show to be held on the Show Grounds, Hawera, on the 15th and 16th November, is the large number of valuable points prizes offered. In the Jersey section the Lovell and Christmas Cup, valued at 100 guineas, is offered to exhibitors gaining the most points rn the section. The Friesian Points Prize is the gold medal offered by the N.Z. Friesian Breeders’ Association in addition to cash prizes donated by Messrs E. J. Betts and A. Good. For the milking Shorthorns the N.Z. Farmers’ Fertiliser Co., Ltd., are offering a special prize. Tn the draught horse classes the Clydesdale Horse Society’s silver medal is offered for the best two-year-old or yearling colt bred by the exhibitor, and Mr J. Paul of Balthangie, Strati ord, donates a silver cup valued at 10 guineas for the best yearling Clydesdale filly. The thoroughbred classes have been well catered for, the prize money being donated by the Egmont Racing Club. Tn the competitions the prize money offered amounts to £139 in addition to the Bryce Rose Bowl valued at 20 guineas. The points prize in purebred sheep classes is the Murray Kooerts Cup valued at £l4. while the N.Z. Sheep Breeders’ Association offer a gold medal for the champion Border Leicester ram. The fat sheep section carries tne Tonks Perpetual Memorial Challenge Cup, valued z 55 guineas, as a points prize. Tn the pig section the Berkshire breeders are offering a silver cup, valued 5 guineas, for most points in purebred
