DOMINION COUNCIL. THE ANNUAL MEETING. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Cricket Council was held to-night. The president (Mr. E. Heathcote-Williams) expressed satisfaction with the progress of younger players. He deprecated the friction which had arisen among the minor associations regarding the itinerary of Maclaren's team. The best had been done, he said, in view of the time limit. Officers were elected as follow: Patron, the Governor-General; president, Mr, E. Heath-cote-Williams; management committee, Messrs. J. S. Barrett, S. F. Wilson, E. R. Caygill, D. Reese, D. Redpath; treasurer, Mr. W. H. Winsor; secretary, Mr. J. F. Peak.' It was agreed that challenges for the Hawke Cup must be in the hands of the secretary before November 1. The management committee will allocate the challenges as deemed advisable.
